Excerpt from The Cream Collector, October 1932
THEY were an exceptionally fine herd of dairy cows. Five years ago there were few, if any, Ayrshire breeders in the Okanagan. About that time Captain J. C. DunWaters, of Fintry, took an interest in furthering this hardy and beautiful Scotch breed. The great gains that have been made and splendid animals now owned by many farmers is a tribute to the energy and enthusiasm of Captain DunWaters and his assistants. The work they have done will be permanent. Generations from now descendants of the high quality animals now here will be a living tribute to those whose energy and foresight made them possible.
