PETER SCOTT HOME AGAIN
Peter Scott shuttles back and forth between Vernon and Hong Kong, regularly taking dairy cattle over. He says he likes It fine and enjoys the trip. Conditions in China are about the same except that the demand for milk is increasing. The Hong Kong Dairy Farm is now milking 1,300 cows and will increase up to 1,500 if need be, to care for the demand.
Pete says some cows were imported from Australia as they could not be got in Canada. These were Australian Ayrshire-Jersey cross, but they were not as good cows as those shipped from Canada. Pete now has orders for more cows and will take another shipment over to China if they can be got. He will be looking for animals this summer and going back in the fall if possible.
