The broad-axe made by Samuel Lount. The axe bears the word "S. Lount, cast steel." Lount was executed for his part in the Rebellion of 1837.

This broad-axe, made by Samuel Lount is made of iron and wood. Samuel Lount was convicted for treason, and executed for his role in the Rebellion of 1837. He was one of two executions, the other being Peter Matthews.
