These paintings are by Richard Coates. Richard Coates was a bandmaster in the British Army. He was also at the Battle of Waterloo.

This painting by Richard Coates sits above the West door inside the Temple. It illustrates the same two children from the other painting sitting beneath a tree receiving a message from God by a dove.

They feature two white robed children in both. The women in the first painting is carrying a ‘Peace’ flag. The Children of Peace symbol, the sun or all seeing-eye, is also featured. The dove in the second painting is carrying a message of ‘peace’ down from God.

Both painting still hang in the Temple today, above the North and West doors.
