This rebellion box is made of maple and was intended for Mrs. Jane Anderson.

This Rebellion box ‘s creator is unknown. The verse on the side indicates it was made for a Mrs. Jane Anderson. It is made out of maple and has faint writing on the sides.

Lid inscription: “Mrs Jane Anderson”,

Side inscriptions: “Lount and Matthews executed Apr. 12, 1838”, “Tyrants shall fail…To crush they spirit of Liberty Like brittle glass shall burst the chains From hands now striving to be free.”

This rebellion box is made of maple and was intended for Mrs. Jane Anderson. Like the other rebellion boxes the lid slides out and is adorned with very faded scripture.
