Yacht License for the Allen

This document issued August 25, 1925,by the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Navigation.  For the gas yacht known as the Allen of New York, N.Y. had been surrendered on March 10, 1928 because the yacht had been abandoned by it’s owner.

Of particular interest, this document notes why it was surrendered: supposedly abandoned, can not located owner, suspected rum runner.
