Art Kube was the link – Father Jim Roberts

Tom McGrath fonds, 82_30. UBC Rare Books and Special Collections. Interview conducted Dec. 2, 1988.
Father Jim Roberts [00:00:01] A big reason why I went is because I had heard Art Kube speak before that on certain occasions and I was… What’s the word? I suppose the word is impressed. Very impressed, very taken up with the ethical stance that he took, the balanced approach he took, the passion he brought to it as well. I felt this is a man that I would be very well associated with. And when he invited me, I was pleased to do that. Kube basically was the only link between the Operation Solidarity and the Solidarity Coalition. He was one of the three co-chair people of the Coalition, along with Renate Shearer, our friend who has now died within the last month or so, and myself.
