Art “Out Cold”
Clips from BC Labour Heritage Centre oral history interviews, 2018.
Art Kube (President, BC Federation of Labour) [00:00:00] When you go from rally to rally, it takes it, takes its personal toll on you too.
Larry Kuehn (President, BC Teachers’ Federation) [00:00:11] Kube is, I mean it, as you know as I said, he was under a great deal of stress. And Jack Munro is a vice president and is the most significant person in, you know, in the BC Fed, along with Mike Kramer, the secretary treasurer. Really, you know, took the, the, you know, the leadership of that part of the labour movement, you know. And you know I, I don’t know how many meetings they had, what the nature of those meetings were, because I wasn’t invited to them. Nor were the others from the non-affiliated unions.
Art Kube [00:01:20] The government, on the one side. And what that meant was Spector, who was the deputy minister to the –
Jim Sinclair [00:01:32] Premier.
Art Kube [00:01:32] Premier. And Jack Munro on the other side. Because what, what has happened by then was, you know, I was out of the picture. You know. I was out cold.
