The Solidarity Coalition encompassed a diverse range of communities. Some were already organized groups, others were not. Handwritten additions show the effort to include a wide representation of people.

INTERIM STRUCTURAL RECOMMENDATIONS
1. That an interim steering committee representing, as much as possible, the following areas of interest be established:

Anti-poverty
Human Rights
Native Groups
Public Sector Unions

2. That steering committee members be identified, as soon as possible, through consultation with organizations representing these interest areas.
3. That an interim advisory committee consisting of three people assume responsibility for consulting with organizations and identifying suitably representative steering committee members.
4. That the interim advisory committee and steering committee members bring forward recommendations to the next meeting of the Solidarity Coalition with respect to:
(a) Structure of coalition
(b) Financing of coalition
(c) Proposals for action
(d) Any other matters they might deem appropriate for consideration by the next coalition meeting.
5. The next Solidarity Coalition meeting will be held on August 30 at the Operating Engineer’s Hall, 4333 Ledger in Burnaby commending at 7:00 p.m.
