An anecdote kindly provided by Justin Wilson, great grandson of Edith Mary Wilson:
“Edith had a 1936 Ford 5 window coupe. The years passed and it was acquired by my father Bill Wilson. By this time the car was showing its years and needed some TLC. My father had it thoroughly cleaned, repaired and painted. The car was originally a gray colour and he painted it tan. After all this work, he was quite proud to show his grandmother how pristine the car was. So he drove out from Victoria to the 17 excited to show the car. He pulled up front and his grandmother walked outside and said “I don’t like the colour.” And she walked back inside. A tough lady indeed.”
