The 17 Mile House

When Edith Mary Wilson purchased the pub there was a bullet hole from a gunfight in one of the walls. The previous owner, Mary, thought the hole was an interesting feature and left it. Edith thought that a respectable establishment shouldn’t have such a thing and covered it up.
If you pay a visit to the old rest area called the 17 Mile House today, you may find photographs of the historic owners inside, which were too fragile to scan into this exhibit!
