Arrowhead Sawmill, circa 1905
Revelstoke Museum and Archives photograph 3716.
Logging and sawmill operations were important to Arrowhead. In the early 1900s, there were two large sawmills operating at Arrowhead, and the lumber industry continued to be a big part of the local economy until the community was abandoned with the coming of the Arrow Lakes reservoir. At the right of the photograph were company houses for the workers.
