John Nelson, second from left, stands on the deck of the old SS Minto on May 25, 1958. Nelson purchased the boat from the village of Nakusp and had it towed to his home in Galena Bay. He had hopes of restoring the boat but was never able to do it. After his death, the boat was towed to the middle of the lake and burned.
