ca. Mid 17th Century
Among the artifacts found in the 1965 excavations were melted nuggets of bronze alloy and fused fragments of possible ceramic material. The rest of the assemblage include handcrafted iron and metal objects that could have been brought from Quebec or France and various pieces of glass vessels. These painted glass fragments were found near the fort during the Museum of Ontario Archaeology excavations in the 1980’s.
