My concept of Wendat population is not 30 to 45 thousand as Champlain indicates in his book in 1619 or in 1632. I still think Champlain got the term Huron very very confused with actual native groups occupying specific geographical locations in the Ontario Island as I call it.
And my favorite map Nouvelle-France really graphically depicts what I call the Wendat Confederacy, the Teonontate confederacy, and the Attawandaronahon confederacy. And I think all three combined give you the populations that Samuel de Champlain recorded in his writings.
