When the French, what I call redevelop their association with the Wendake in 1632-1633, um there’s a period in time when I would, say ten years, from 1632 to 1642 where it is what I would refer to as the Periods of disease. I think once the Jesuits really begin to conduct things like census which Jerome Lalamont does in 1638. I think once Paul Ragneau begins his process of his maps, in otherwords the Jesuits for the very first time get a much broader perspective on what’s happening in the Great lakes region.
So the 12,000 Wendat who are extrodinarily important, they are the long distance traders in the Great Lakes Region.
