The Fabric of Our Story, a film shot in Cowansville

The film The Fabric of Our Story traces the history of Bruck Silk Mills textiles from their conception and manufacture at the Cowansville plant to the presentation of the finished product. Clothes worn by model Jean Welsh are presented in the chic décor of the Manoir Richelieu in Pointe-au-Pic. Directed by Reginald Gillman, the film is released in 1948 and presented to audiences in Canada and Australia. It is part of the company’s promotion and marketing strategy.
