To alleviate the city’s lack of housing due to the large influx of workers arriving from other regions of Quebec, Bruck invests in the corporation Cowansville Realties Ltd. who builds houses for workers. This excerpt from the employee’s journal in November 1950 shows some of the homes occupied by Bruck workers. Saint-Antoine street is laid out during that period and several of these houses still exist today.
