Jean-Jacques Hamel, an employee of the engraving department, was hired at the Bruck in 1948 because of his artistic training at the École des beaux-arts de Montréal. He engraves copper rolls with precision tools, including a pantograph, and corrects the imperfections of the patterns to be printed according to patterns arriving from New York.
