Régina Lapointe, 101 years old at the time of the reunion of the former workers of the Bruck, exchanges stories of the past with a guest. Employed from 1947 to 1967, she is responsible for first aid as the factory nurse. An accomplished seamstress, she is involved in the production of flags that factory workers sometimes make at home. Afterward, she becomes a prominent figure in the community for her volunteer work in several sectors of activity, including the culture committee.
“We made low-priced clothes with nice fabric. There was crepe and also silk and satin. And we were sewing flags! In ’47, do you have any idea what we were paid? That’s why we worked long hours!”
