Top: in August 1932, 10 years after the opening of Bruck Silk Mills, employees and managers are photographed in front of the plant. An important growth in the number of employees is noticeable (from 30 to over 400) as well as the increasing presence of women.
Bottom: on August 15 1939, a few weeks before the beginning of the Second World War, this photo is taken at the first employee picnic at Brome Lake. At that time, Bruck Silk Mills employs more than 500 people and takes an active part in the social life of the workers of Cowansville and the region.
