Weavexx’ Warwick Plant

Arnprior and District Museum Collection: 2002.02.01h

After the shutdown of the Arnprior plant, the Warwick, Quebec location took over their felt production. The amalgamation of the two plants would have their production at one site, increasing their response time.

Weavexx came under Xerium Technologies, incorporated in the early 2000s. Xerium operated at this site until 2015, when it closed and production moved outside of North America.

Huyck’s Kentville, Nova Scotia location, itself transferred to Weavexx then Xerium, remains open. Since 2018, they have worked under the name of ANDRITZ, an international technology group.
