The Leafield

The Leafield was built in 1892 in Sunderland, England, by the Strand Slipway Company and owned by Algoma Central Steamship Company. She was 249 feet long. During the Great Storm of 1913, the Leafield was stranded on rocks at Angus Island near Pie Island, Thunder Bay. She was pushed off the rocks and sank, taking all 28 crew with her.
