A.C. passed away in 1965 and lies beneath two headstones at the Millarville Church, not far from their home.

Those two headstones are an interesting story. A travelling salesman came to the door and convinced Barbara to purchase a headstone for her recently departed husband. When her friends found out about this, they were sure that she had been the victim of a swindler and so Barbara ordered another headstone from a more reputable business and had it installed on A.C.’s grave. Sometime later, to Barbara’s surprise, the second headstone appeared. Always a character, Barbara instructed that it be placed next to the first stone. It seems they shared adventures to the last.
