[Translation]
“Erected on May 4, 2007, for the 125th anniversary of the founding of Rolland, Canada’s first fine paper plant. This monument celebrates the company’s extraordinary contribution to the development of the city since 1882. It honours the Rolland Family and all Saint-Jérôme families whose lives were closely linked with the company that is intertwined with our landscape, economy and history.”
Installed at the entrance to Rolland Street, the monument led to the administrative offices and employee parking used at that time.
