Lucien Rolland was president of the Rolland Company when he granted company land to build the church, following requests from Mgr. Frenette, Bishop of the Diocese of Saint-Jérôme. After standing abandoned for some years, the church was demolished in the summer of 2007; one of the stones from the façade, bearing the name “Saint-Lucien,” was given to Mr. Rolland.
