Mike Holden is a Sauteaux Cree visual artist and actor, known for his role as Momo on the popular First Nations’ drama called Blackstone. Mike focuses on the painting to illustrate the brutal and genocidal history of Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island (North America) as well as celebrate the heroes that have been forgotten in written history.
Holden is inspired by Louis Riel’s prophecy: “My people will sleep for one hundred years, but when they awake it will be the artists who give them their spirit back.” Discover more at www.mikeholdenart.com
