Quilt of the Seven Sacred Teachings

Marilou Ross is part of the women working group initiative from the Friendship Centre. Josephine Eric challenged her to create a quilt based on the 7 sacred teachings which correspond to a certain creature. Marilou was able to create a beautiful quilt representing both the creatures and the seven sacred teachings with aesthetic qualities.
The Seven Sacred Teachings and the Corresponding Creature
1.Love: the Eagle: to know love is to find peace
2.Truth: the turtle: to know all teachings is to know truth
3.Courage: the bear: face life with integrity
4.Humility: the wolf: to know yourself as a part of creation
5.Honesty: the sabe/raven: facing a situation despite consequences
6.Respect: the Buffalo: to honour all of creation is to know respect
7.Wisdom: the beaver: to cherish knowledge is to find wisdom
