Recognition Gifts for the Women of the Nistawoyou

Ten Indigenous women leaders were recognized as the Women of Nistawoyou on December 13, 2016, at the Nistawoyou Association Friendship Centre.
Each woman received a certificate of recognition, a feather, a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate. The gifting of a feather is an important gesture of honour among the Indigenous people.
