Captain Dalton Gilbert Knox Garrett

As a physician and surgeon, Captain Garrett had already served in the Canadian Army Medical Corp before he enlisted on 27 January 1918, at the age of twenty-nine. He and his wife Karoline, along with their two daughters moved to Winnipeg, MB, in 1916. They had previously resided on Hale St. in London, ON. Harrett was transferred to the Royal Army Medical Corp in February 1918 and was assigned to 133^rd Field Ambulance. He was killed in action just, on 30 September 1918, during the Hundred Days Offensive and 6 month after his brother, Alfred John Garrett.

He is commemorated on page 587 of the of the First World War Book of Remembrance (Memorial Chamber, Peace Tower, Parliament Hill).
