Lieutenant Leonard Charles Jarvis

Jarvis was born in London, ON, on 24 February 1892. He lived with his parents Chauncey and Marian Jarvis at 611 Talbot St. Prior to the outbreak of the First World War, he was an Officer with the 7th Fusiliers Regiment and a junior member of the law firm Jarvis and Vining. He joined the CEF on 1 December 1915, and served with the 142th Canadian Infantry Battalion. Lieut. Jarvis was killed in action on 20 July 1917, while serving in France with the 18th Btn.
He is commemorated on page 263 of the First World War Book of Remembrance (Memorial Chamber in the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill).
