Percival was born on 25 January 1892 in London, ON. Before enlisting, he worked as a grey iron moulder at Beatty Bros. Company, and lived with his parents William and Violet Percival at 532 Highbury Ave. Percival served 11 months with the 1st Hussars Regiment, before he enlisted with the 33rd Canadian Infantry Battalion, on 28 July 1915. In February 1918, he was discharged from the CEF after receiving a gunshot wound to his right arm, which resulted in the partial-loss of mobility. Soon after Pte. Percival returned to Canada, he married and moved to Galt, ON. Pte. Percival died on 22 October 1918 of pneumonia.
