Morrison was born on 17 April 1885 in the village of Oakbank, Midlothian, Scotland. After immigrating to Canada, he lived with his wife Margaret Morrison at 1226 Florence St. London, ON. Before the First World War, Morrison was employed as a car repairer at the Grand Trunk Railway Station. In 1915, he enlisted with the 70th Canadian Infantry Battalion. Pte. Morrison died on 21 August 1917, of wounds suffered on his face and left leg.
He is commemorated on page 297 of the First World War Book of Remembrance (Memorial Chamber, Peace Tower, Parliament Hill).
