This map shows the location, name and nationality of 21 Allied ships sunk by German U-boats in the Battle of the St. Lawrence in 1942. S.S. Caribou was the last ship sunk in 1942 with the largest loss of life in Canadian and Newfoundland waters in the Second World War.
