Sunken shipwreck

Painting of a large shipwreck on the seafloor. Although the wreck of S.S. Caribou has not yet been located, it may be in similar condition to that shown in the painting.

This painting by Ken Marschall is the wreck of R.M.S. Empress of Ireland, which lies at the bottom of the St. Lawrence River near Rimouski, Quebec. It sank in 1914 after colliding with another ship in the fog.
