Photos shows 15-month-old Leonard Shiers, held by his rescuer Ralph Rogers, on the stern of H.M.C.S. Grandmere on October 14, 1942. Both Leonard and his mother, Gladys Shiers, survived the sinking of S.S. Caribou.
