Pierre Charron on the relationship between the Corporation du Moulin Légaré and municipal councillors

Pierre Charron: We needed a strong foundation financially. I would say that I truly participated in building that, in addition to raising awareness of the various aspects of the Moulin Légaré. There were several years of stagnation — maybe the political will just wasn’t there. I would say that around 2005-2006, our political team really put things in place to ensure that the mill would play a key role in tourism, heritage and cultural development. Since then, really, over the past 9 or 10 years, the mill has played an essential role. The objective has been reached. There’s still work to be done, but the objective has been reached.
