Huguette Désormeaux on the garden
Michaël Gravel and Corporation du Moulin Légaré
Huguette Désormeaux: We loved that mill so much that I wanted to do something to contribute. When we started making plans, well, my project was to create a garden next to the cycling path. I’ve always loved flowers, so it was the perfect thing for me to work on. We went to my place to get stones and brought them here. Then I started to plant flowers. I took care of it for many, many years, but recently, I was looking after that garden, the one at the church, and my own, too, and it got to be too much. So the City took it over and gave it my name: Huguette’s Garden! That was quite funny. But I have to admit, I was tickled!
