The Alpine Club of Canada (ACC), founded in 1906 and incorporated in 1909, is an amateur non-profit association with some 10,000 members across Canada and worldwide.
The ACC wants to unite and promote its Canadian mountaineering community by encouraging alpine experience, knowledge and culture through its training and teaching methods.
There are 25 local sections across Canada from Newfoundland to Vancouver and Whitehorse, including the Montreal section, founded in 1941.
