Here is a photograph of Maison Nivard-De Saint-Dizier, musée et site archéologique, located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, in the borough of Verdun. This building is a remarkable example of rural architecture from the early French Regime. Its foundations, built in 1710, sit atop the largest prehistoric archaeological site on the Island of Montréal, with evidence of Indigenous occupation dating back 5 500 years.
