The First Church of Saint-Martin-de-Tours in Malartic

This is Malartic’s first Saint-Martin-de-Tours Church. Construction began on August 25th 1938. The first mass was celebrated some three months later. Unfortunately, in November 1946, a defective heating system caused a fire in the building. The new church was inaugurated six years later in November 1952.
