Dr. Sheila Dunn

Dr. Sheila Dunn graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto in 1977. She began her career as a family doctor. She flew into remote Indigenous communities in Northwestern Ontario. She then moved to emergency medicine at Women’s College Hospital (WCH). From 1984 to 1994 she was the first Medical Director of WCH’s Sexual Assault Care Centre. From 1993 to 2006 she was the Medical Director of the Bay Centre for Birth Control. Today Dr. Dunn is a scientist at the Women’s College Research Institute.
