The film starts in the hospital’s library. Female doctors and medical researchers are looking at books and journals. It then shows a nurse pulling an x-ray machine over a patient laying on an exam table. Next, Dr. Elizabeth Forbes looks at chest x-rays with a light-box. At the lab, a technician prepares tissue samples using a microtome machine. The film then shows three female laboratory technicians working. One walks across the lab to put a glass bottle in the hospital’s blood bank. Next, we see Dr. Joan Vale doing a thyroid test on a patient in the isotope lab. The camera zooms in on the many dials on the geiger counter machine. The film ends in the lab. Dr. Alice Gray is teaching her female lab technician students.
