Unexploded artillery shells on the stern deck of one of the Bell Island shipwrecks. The shells were collected by clearance divers from the Royal Canadian Navy’s Fleet Diving Unit (Atlantic). The shells were for the stern gun on the ship during World War II. The shells were removed by the Navy in 2019 to make the shipwreck safer for recreational scuba divers to explore.
